Broadcasters in the US, Denmark and Israel have picked up highly acclaimed documentary Desert Runners from New York-based distributor Cargo Film & Releasing.

Jennifer Steinman’s film follows four athletes during a year in the Four Deserts Ultramarathon series, one of the world’s most difficult endurance races.

DirecTV (US), DR TV (Denmark), TV Ontario (Canada), Vendetta Films (Australia & New Zealand), UR (Sweden), VG TV (Norway), RTV (Slovenia) and Yes/DBS (Israel) are among the broadcasters to pick up the film.

The doc was an official selection at IDFA in Amsterdam, as well as the upcoming Rome International Film Festivals and Thessaloniki Doc Fest. It was selected Best of the Fest at Edinburgh and scored two audience awards at the Hampton International Film Festival and the Vancouver International Film Fest.
