Canuck net finds Girlfri3nds

A French-Canadian broadcaster has commissioned a local version of Israeli distributor Keshet International’s dating format Girlfri3nds.

Bell Media-owned youth channel Vrak TV will air the 16×30′ Canuck version, which will be produced by Montreal-based prodco Zone 3 and is expected to launch in April.

Originally produced in Israel by Keshet Media Group, the show follows three single women on a nationwide search for love.

In a local twist, the series will change in the ninth episode to feature three men looking for their love match.

This deal follows TVA Group in Quebec acquiring seasons one and two of the UK version, which premiered in September 2012 on ITV2.
