Canal+ sets sights on thriller Killing Eve

MIPTV: French pay TV broadcaster Canal+ is set to air spy thriller Killing Eve following a deal with Endeavor Content/IMG in the US.

The scripted TV and feature film financing, development and sales division of Endeavor (formerly WME IMG) screened the show at Canneseries this week and Canal+ will now air it in France.

The series is produced by Sid Gentle Films for BBC America, where it premiered on April 8, and is based on the novellas by Luke Jennings.

Written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the plot focuses on two women, one a desk-bound MI5 security officer the other a paid assassin who lives a life of luxury.

It has already been sold to HBO Europe for Scandinavia, CEE, Spain, Portugal and Portuguese-speaking Africa; HOT for Israel; and TVNZ for New Zealand.
