Canal+ orders spy series

French pay TV operator Canal+ is to begin shooting a spy drama from French film director and scriptwriter Éric Rochant that will be partly filmed in Morocco.

The Office of Legends is produced by Paris-based Federation Entertainment, led by Pascal Breton (Dolmen, Sous le Soleil), in association with The Oligarchs Productions, which is run by producer Alex Berger.

Shooting on the show, about a group of spies working undercover in hostile territories, takes place at the Cité du Cinema film studio complex in Paris and Morocco from next week until February 2015.

Breton was CEO and founder of Zodiak Media’s French production company Marathon Images prior to his departure in February 2013.

His fledgling Federation Entertainment business is also working on political drama Marseille, Netflix’s first original production in France.
