Canal+, Foxtel pick FX premium package

FX musical dance drama Pose

French pay TV outfit Canal+ and Australia’s Foxtel are among the first international broadcasters to acquire a new portfolio of FX programming from US distributor Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution (TCFTVD).

TCFTVD is licensing the shows as a premium package that includes musical dance drama Pose from Fox 21 Television Studios, Brad Flachuk Teley-Vision, Ryan Murphy Productions and FX Productions.

Also included are Sons of Anarchy crime spin-off Mayans MC (Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions) and Trust (Cloud Eight Films, Decibel Films, Snicket Films and FX Productions), an anthology series that looks back at the 1973 abduction of John Paul Getty III.

Sky New Zealand, HBO España and HBO Nordic are also among the first buyers of the package.

The move also means any licensees overseas have exclusive first-run rights to all new series that broadcast on the FX channel in the US.
