Canal+ comes to US on DirecTV

Baron Noir is in Canal+ International’s line-up

Canal+ International, the global version of the French pay TV channel, is now available in the US via satellite service DirecTV.

The new arrangement allows Francophile audiences in the US to watch content from the premium entertainment channel including French cinema, children’s programming, sports and original series such as Pigalle La Nuit, Baron Noir, Platane and Section Zero.

Also included in the service is 24-hour news channel CNews, providing news and analysis across all topics from leading French journalists.

DirecTV subscribers will be able to access Canal+ International if they acquire FrenchDirect packages, which launched last month.

Canal+ International and CNews are distributed in the US through Canal+ subsidiary Thema America.
