C5 opens doors with BriteSpark

Channel 5 in the UK is set to explore extreme stories from the rental property market in a new factual series.

Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords is being produced by Argonon-owned BriteSpark Films and promises exclusive access to the eviction process and councils tasked with rooting out rogue landlords.

Michelle Chappell, commissioning editor for factual, news and current affairs at C5, ordered the show, while Nick Godwin, creative director at BriteSpark, exec produces and Suzy Davis produces.

BriteSpark launched in 2013 as a joint venture between former Cineflix head of documentaries Godwin and London-based superindie Argonon.
