Channel 4 in the UK has greenlit a factual series from producer Studio Ramsay focusing on the teenage offspring of some of Britain’s most successful celebrities.

Born Famous will invite the youngsters to spend one week experiencing the life they might have had if their parents hadn’t found fame, living in the communities in which their parents grew up.

The 4×60’ docuseries will be produced by the prodco belonging to celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, whose son Jack will be one of the participants.

Other teens involved include former Spice Girl Mel B’s daughter Phoenix Chi, Ultimo lingerie founder Michelle Mone’s daughter Bethany and footballer Paul Ince’s daughter Ria.

Each will be paired with a local teenager as they confront issues including privilege, class and social mobility.

Born Famous was commissioned by Channel 4 education commissioning editor Emily Jones and will be executive produced by Chris Brogden and Helen Cooke.
