C4 collars dog show series

UK broadcaster Channel 4 has ordered a 15-part series in which dogs and their owners compete for a place at world-renowned canine show Crufts.

Produced by UK indie Tuesday’s Child, The Dog Show (working title) will see owners and dogs pair up for sporting challenges in order to win a cash prize and a place at the annual extravaganza in London.

The 15×30’ series was ordered by Sagina Shabaya, C4’s commissioning editor daytime and off peak, and will be exec produced by Tuesday’s Child’s Karen Smith and Will Spokes.

Tuesday’s Child launched in September last year, specialising in entertainment and factual programming. Karen Smith, formerly joint MD at Shine TV where she worked on MasterChef, The Biggest Loser and Strictly Come Dancing, founded the company.
