The festival daily will publish on August 26, 27 and 28, carrying news and feature content to help delegates through the week.

Making the announcement today, GEITF festival director Lisa Campbell said: “This year sees the first festival daily, produced by international print and online publisher C21Media, bringing the best of the festival to the widest global audience possible.

“The TV festival offers so much more than just the sessions, and our intention is to create an environment for sharing creativity and inspiring people. Everyone loved the Festival App last year and with the new festival daily paper, post-controller networking drinks and the huge range of sessions, we hope delegates have everything they need to make the very most of their festival experience.”

C21’s editor-in-chief & managing director David Jenkinson said: “We are delighted to be working with the TV festival to add a new dimension this year. We aim to produce a great daily publication, which will also feature audio and video content through a wrap edition published for iPad.

“C21 is the market-leading international content industry brand, and we hope to help the festival attract a bigger global following by sharing the daily content beyond the streets of Edinburgh.”

Showtime’s David Nevins, FX’s John Landgraf, Discovery’s Rich Ross, HBO’s Michael Ellenberg and Amazon Studios’ Roy Price are among the initial line-up of speakers at this year’s event, unveiled earlier today.
