Britain’s Next Top Model struts stuff again

Abbey Clancy (centre) is head judge on Britain’s Next Top Model

A+E Networks-owned Lifetime in the UK is bringing Britain’s Next Top Model back for an 12th run later this year.

The series aired for nine seasons on Sky Living in the UK between 2005 and 2013 before being cancelled. Lifetime resurrected the format last year and is now plotting a 10-part third season.

The show will again be produced by Thumbs Up Productions, which licenses the format from distributor CBS Studios International. Model Abbey Clancy is returning as head judge.

Pre-production has already begun on the 10×60’ show, with filming taking place across the UK and abroad. Marty Redman and Cheryl Price will executive produce for Thumbs Up, while Diana Carter will fill the role for Lifetime and A+E Networks UK.

The show is based on the America’s Next Top Model format, which premiered on UPN in 2003 and later moved to The CW.

A+E Networks UK, a joint venture between the US cablenets operator and local satcaster Sky, launched Lifetime in the territory back in 2013.
