Breakthrough hires to boost reality

Canadian prodco Breakthrough Entertainment has strengthened its focus on reality and non-fiction programming by appointing a head of development for alternative content.
Chantal Jackson will be based in Toronto and work alongside Beth Fraikorn, head of alternative content US, who is based in the company’s recently established [2] New York office.
Jackson will identify and develop reality and non-fiction projects for original series development and look to forge coproduction partnerships with indies in both Canada and the US.
[3]The reality, factual and lifestyle veteran has developed, produced and consulted on shows for channels including HGTV, Food, TLC and Discovery Life. Her recent credits include Buying and Selling with the Property Brothers [4], Amazing Race Canada and Say Yes to the Dress Canada.
