Brazil dials Wrong Number

Israeli telenovela specialist Dori Media has completed a deal in Brazil for its gameshow format Wrong Number.

Wrong Number, created and originally produced by Israel’s Tanin Productions, is a gameshow format in which a random stranger is approached on the street and asked to call the person in their address book that they least want to speak to. They then work together on trivia questions to accumulate a large cash prize before competing against each other to see who gets to keep it.

The format has been picked up by the SBT network in Brazil, which will now produce a local version with support from Tanin.

Dori has also secured sales of all three seasons, totalling 135 episodes, of its teen drama Split to an undisclosed broadcaster in Italy.
