Bravo hunts Best Restaurant

US cablenet Bravo will premiere a new culinary competition series produced by celebrity UK chef Gordon Ramsay’s prodco in January next year.

Best New Restaurant is being produced by One Potato Two Potato and will be fronted by chef and restaurateur Tom Colicchio.

The show pits 16 US restaurants against each other in a series of challenges to be judged by a team of experts whose aim is to find the best top-to-bottom dining experience in the country.

The show is based on UK format Ramsay’s Best Restaurant, which aired on Channel 4 in 2010 and is distributed as a finished tape and format by All3Media-owned Optomen International.

Ramsay, Colicchio, Elizabeth Cook, Nicola Moody, Pat Llewellyn, and Ben Adler are the executive producers.
