BoPaul bags Mussolini drama

A US miniseries from the 1980s starring George C Scott as infamous Italian dictator Benito Mussolini has been picked up for international release by distributor BoPaul Media Worldwide.

Mussolini: The Untold Story

Mussolini: The Untold Story originally aired on NBC in 1985 and will now be sold internationally by BoPaul after the firm gained permission from the estate of the late producer Raymond Katz.

The seven-hour show, which will be converted to HD quality, was produced by Katz/Gallin in association with Bernard Sofronski and is based on a story written by one of Mussolini’s sons, with the script penned by Sterling Silliphant.

The show starts in 1922 as Mussolini gains power and explores the dictator’s military and governmental accomplishments and failures, as well as his personal relationships.
