Boomerang will air the third season of Jungle Beat (13×7′) in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux and Eastern Europe in the third quarter of 2015 following a deal with Irish distributor Monster Entertainment.

The series, produced by Cape Town-based Sunrise Productions, has also been acquired by public broadcaster VRT for Flemish-speaking Belgium.

It focuses on different animals and the bizarre situations they encounter in nature, with stories that are classic, slapstick, with simple situations that spiral into chaos.

Previous seasons of the show have been sold to broadcasters in 182 countries by Monster Entertainment, while seasons four and five are currently in production.

Boomerang was recently relaunched around the world as an all-animation, youth-skewing companion channel to Cartoon Network, with a line-up specifically designed for family co-viewing.

Turner acquired toons such as PGS Entertainment’s The Jungle Bunch, DHX Media’s new CGI version of Inspector Gadget, Endemol’s Mr Bean and, most recently One Animation’s slapstick toon The Oddbods for the channel in various territories.
