Bomb Girls take cover in US

US cable network Reelz has picked up the second run of Canadian wartime drama series Bomb Girls ^[1].

Reelz will air the 12×60′ season in the first quarter of next year. The series is set during the Second World War and centres on women who risk their lives in a Canadian munitions factory.

The cablenet picked up ^[2] the first season (6×60′) earlier this year after it had aired on Canadian network Global TV, which commissioned ^[3] a second season in February.

Bomb Girls is produced by Back Alley Film Productions and Canada’s Muse Entertainment, which previously produced another Reelz miniseries, The Kennedys ^[4].

The first season has also been sold to Dutch pay-TV net ^[5] Cello and UK diginet ^[6] ITV3 .
