Bomanbridge hires for Asian growth

Singapore-based producer and distributor Bomanbridge Media has hired former executives from FremantleMedia Asia and MBC and is opening offices in South Korea and Mongolia.

The company’s expansion is thanks to funding from Hera Capital, a South-East Asia-based entrepreneurial investment firm.

Bomanbridge’s first originally produced series is due for release in the first quarter of next year. It has already opened an office in Seoul and is set to open another soon in the Mongolian capital, Ulaan Bator.

The Korean office will be headed by newly hired Gyeong-Min Moon, previously a senior acquisitions manager at TCAST, a joint venture with Fox Korea. He also managed acquisitions at MBC Plus.

Former FremantleMedia Asia executive Lakshmanan Subbiah is joining the company’s Singapore operation as director of finance and operations.

Sonia Fleck, CEO of Bomanbridge Media, said: “We have been working towards this moment of expansion for five years, steadily gaining the trust and respect of our broadcast and production partners who count on us to know what really works in the region.”
