BluTV, the OTT service from Turkish broadcaster Kanal D, has launched its first original scripted productions on the international market.

Kanal D International is distributing crime drama Innocent and horror miniseries Possessed.

Innocent was created by Berkun Oya, directed by Seren Yüce and produced by D Productions. It marked BluTV’s first original production.

It has since been followed by Possessed, which follows a young couple experiencing strange events in a small village. It is produced by D Productions and was written and directed by Alper Mestçi.

Kanal D’s parent group, Doğan Holdings, rebranded its subscription OTT service as BluTV last year following Netflix’s arrival on the local scene.

The service brings together Kanal D content, original productions and premium acquisitions from its pay platform D Smart, and is available online and via a mobile app.
