Blue Ant’s ZooMoo moves into Asia Pacific

Canada’s Blue Ant Media has agreed new carriage deals in the Asia-Pacific region for its preschool nature channel ZooMoo.

The deals will make the network available on digital service EasyTV in the Philippines and Indonesia’s pay TV provider K-Vision, among others.

ZooMoo, whose line-up features more than 500 hours of original wildlife footage, puppetry, animated and narrated content, will also be available on pay service Canal+ Myanmar FG, subscription TV platform Click TV in Papua New Guinea and Vietnamese digital TV service K+.

The channel is a joint venture between Blue Ant Media and AT&T-owned DirecTV. The new deals, which were brokered via Blue Ant’s kids & global networks division, bring the number of platforms in the region carrying ZooMoo to 10.

ZooMoo already airs on Fetch and the Seven Network in Australia; MNC Vision, First Media and BIGTV in Indonesia; DhiraaguTV and Medianet in Maldives; and Digicel Play in Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu, Nauru, Samoa and Tonga.

In March, Blue Ant struck its first carriage deals for ZooMoo in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), appointing Chiara McKee as VP of EMEA to oversee the agreements.
