Blue Ant, TVNZ tuck into Extreme Cake Makers

Boomerang’s Extreme Cake Makers was originally produced for Channel 4

International broadcasters including Canada’s Blue Ant Media and TVNZ in New Zealand have secured a raft of deals for Extreme Cake Makers, the show from Twofour Group’s UK prodco Boomerang.

The show, sold by Twofour Rights, has also been acquired by Foxtel’s Lifestyle Food in Australia, Discovery in Asia and MENA, and Sky Italia. TV4 in Sweden, Cooking Channel in the US and BBC Lifestyle in Poland have also taken the show.

Extreme Cake Makers was first produced for Channel 4 in the UK and is into an extended 30×30′ second season.

In related news, ITV-owned Twofour has also acquired rights to A&E format Live PD and agreed a development deal with ITV in the UK.

The show gives viewers unfiltered live access to a variety of the country’s busiest police forces, both urban and rural, and the communities they patrol on a typical night.

The UK version will embed with police forces across the country, offering an unprecedented glimpse of the reality of life inside modern policing.
