Blue Ant grows carriage in Asia

ATF: Canada’s Blue Ant Media has struck a range of distribution deals for its channels across the Asia Pacific region.

The company has extended carriage of Blue Ant Entertainment and Blue Ant Extreme on Thai cable service TrueVisions for another two years. The two channels have also landed on telco AIS’s OTT platform in Thailand.

Blue Ant Media made the carriage announcements during Asia Television Forum in Singapore.

Blue Ant Entertainment will also continue its carriage on PCCW-owned Now TV in Hong Kong for three more years and the service has picked up Blue Ant Extreme as part of the deal.

Additionally, Blue Ant’s Love Nature and ZooMoo will launch on Dhirragu Maldives, a digital service provider offering 60 premium linear channels in genres ranging from news and documentaries to lifestyle in multiple languages.

Love Nature, which offers family audiences a range of original wildlife and nature content via its 4K and HD linear channels, is a joint venture with Smithsonian Networks. ZooMoo is a children’s linear TV channel about nature and is a joint venture with AT&T.

Blue Ant Entertainment (fka RTL CBS Entertainment) and Blue Ant Extreme (fka RTL CBS Extreme) are recently acquired linear channels.

Blue Ant Entertainment offers drama, reality series, late-night talkshows and US award show telecasts, while Blue Ant Extreme provides series, extreme sports and magic and reality programming.
