Blue Ant expands factual catalogue

The distribution arm of Canadian channels operator Blue Ant Media has acquired eight new factual and documentary titles, totalling 38 hours of programming.

Blue Ant International’s new factual series include Paranormal Survivor, Cabin Truckers, Reno My Reno, and Wild Ride, as well as documentaries Dino Hunt, How We Got Gay, Different Drummer: Celebrating Eccentrics, and Every Child Counts.

Paranormal Survivor (10×60′ HD), from Our House Media, features real-life encounters and dramatic recreations of people who claim to have met spirits.

Cabin Truckers (13×30′ HD), by Remedy Productions, follows a team of experts hauling cabins to remote locations through extremely rocky, mountainous terrain.

Meanwhile, Mountain Road Productions’ Reno My Reno (13×30′ HD) explores the world of cabin projects gone wrong with carpenter Dave Depencier and his team. Wild Ride (16×30′ HD), from Nomadic Nation, follows 15 backpackers as they attempt a 3,000km road trip across three countries in Thailand’s most iconic vehicle – the three-wheeled tuk tuk.

Earlier this month, Blue Ant International increased its catalogue of 4K nature and wildlife documentary series.
