Joe Earley becomes president at The Jackal Group and will oversee all areas of the studio’s TV, film, theatre and digital divisions. He will report directly to Gail Berman, founder, chairman and CEO at the firm.

Earley worked with Berman at Fox Broadcasting and spent more than two decades with the company, most recently as chief operating offer for Fox Television Group. He also worked in media relations at HBO, having begun his entertainment career in production and development with producer Gale Anne Hurd.

The Jackal Group, formed in 2014, is a co-venture with the Fox Networks Group that develops and produces scripted and unscripted shows for the likes of Fox Broadcasting Company, FX and FXX and the National Geographic Channels.

Its slate includes comedy series Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life and Easiest Game Show Ever, which air on Fox and Pop respectively, while the firm is also in pre-production on The Rocky Horror Picture Show for Fox.

Berman said: “I am thrilled to welcome Joe at a time when The Jackal Group is experiencing the kind of measurable creative and operational surge that will benefit from his expertise and overall presence.

Earley added that his new role would allow him to “fully blend my creative pursuits with the operational and marketing experience that will help this business grow.”
