Bell Media-owned CTV will establish CTV Sci-Fi, CTV Drama, CTV Comedy and CTV Life to replace its brands Space, Bravo, Comedy and Gusto, a move preceded by the creation of film- and entertainment-focused VoD platforms CTV Movies and CTV Vault.

The two ad-supported services will each offer thousands of hours of content, refreshed weekly, after securing a new partnership with Sony Pictures Television.

CTV audiences will now be able to access content from a single digital destination, including The Handmaid’s Tale, Star Trek: Discovery and comedies Cardinal and The Big Bang Theory. CTV Movies and CTV Vault’s programming will includes titles such as Spider-Man, Men in Black, Community and Rescue Me.

“The launch of this multi-genre, next-generation digital super hub instantly makes our expansive portfolio easy to find through one point of entry,” said Mike Cosentino, president of programming and content at Bell Media. “It’s an enormously powerful collection of CTV-branded services, live and on-demand, encompassing hit programming from every genre.”

Bell Media president Randy Lennox added: “In today’s crowded media landscape, it’s essential for our services to have the same scale and brand ubiquity as our international competitors. As a result, we’re focusing and amplifying CTV so that it is stronger than ever.”

CTV’s latest propositions come a few days after the broadcaster announced it had picked up a slew of the biggest network shows emerging from the LA Screenings, including The Rookie and Whiskey Cavalier from ABC and CBS’s Magnum PI and God Friended Me.
