Bell adds superheroes to SVoD service

Canada’s Bell Media and Warner Bros International Television Distribution have agreed a deal to bring superhero series Arrow and The Flash to the Canuck firm’s forthcoming streaming service.

Bell Media unveiled its on-demand video streaming service, dubbed Project Latte, last month and is building up its library of content from major Hollywood and independent studios ahead of its launch in December.

The two series are both based on DC Comics characters and air on The CW in the US and CTV in Canada.

All 46 one-hour episodes from the Arrow’s first and second seasons will be available immediately when Project Latte launches in December, while The Flash will become available when its debut season concludes in 2015.

The Canadian company has promised more than 10,000 hours of content will be available to Project Latte subscribers and has recently agreed deals to bring series such as Bosch, Doctor Who, Manhattan, Orphan Black, The Sopranos and The Wire to the SVoD service.
