BBCWW adds HD block in Brazil

BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) has launched its first BBC HD-branded block of programming in Latin America together with Sky Brazil.

The BBC HD block features a selection of the broadcaster’s most popular programmes, including Michael Palin’s New Europe and Around the World in 20 Years; documentary series True Stories; and Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.

The block is available exclusively to subscribers of the Brazilian pay-TV company on Mondays to Fridays, but only until March 4. BBCWW did not say whether this marked the end of the exclusivity period or the end of the block.
