BBCWW, ABC, Discovery shop at 9 Story

Peg + Cat will air on CBeebies in Asia

BBC Worldwide (BBCWW), the ABC in Australia and US giant Discovery are among the broadcasters to have picked up kids’ programming from Canadian producer and distributor 9 Story Media Group.

BBCWW, the commercial arm of the UK pubcaster, has acquired the first two seasons of Peg + Cat for pay TV channel CBeebies in Asia.

The ABC, meanwhile, has taken seasons two and three of animations Nerds & Monsters and Camp Lakebottom for its children’s channel ABC Me.

Discovery Asia has picked up the fifth season of cartoon Wild Kratts, season one of Nature Cat and the fourth run of science show Finding Stuff Out, while pubcaster PTS Taiwan has taken Wild Kratts season three.

In India, Discovery has licensed animated comedies Get Ace and 3 Amigonatus, while digital VoD platform Voot has acquired three library titles for various digital platforms.
