BBC’s Apple Tree grows on Arte

Apple Tree Yard stars Emily Watson and Ben Chaplin
BBC thriller Apple Tree Yard has been picked up by Arte in France and Germany from distributor FremantleMedia International.
The 4×60’ drama, which premiered in the UK in January, stars Academy Award nominee Emily Watson and is based on the novel by Louise Doughty.
Produced by Broadchurch firm Kudos, the show follows a respected female scientist who commits a single impulsive act that sees her stand trial for murder.
The show has already been picked up by broadcasters around the world, including Fox [1] for its Latin American networks.
