BBC4 tracks down Disappearance

France Télévisions’ drama Disparue (The Disappearance)

BBC4 in the UK has picked up French drama Disparue (The Disappearance) from Zodiak Rights.

The 8×60’ series is produced by Quad Television for France Télévisions and explores a family’s increasing distress when their teenage daughter fails to return home from a night out.

The show, which aired on France 2 in 2015, has already been sold in Italy (Mediaset), Slovakia (Rozhlas a Televízia Slovenska), Estonia (Kanal 2), Slovenia (RTV Slovenija), Poland (NBCUniversal International – 13 Ulica) and Iceland (RUV).

Channel One in Russia will also air the show in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Zodiak Rights, the international distribution arm of Banijay Group, holds worldwide distribution rights to the series, excluding Germany and Benelux.
