BBC4 picks up Stone’s Bucket

BBC4 in the UK has ordered a “bittersweet comedy” that follows a reserved school teacher whose mother reveals she is dying.

Bucket, written by and starring Frog Stone, follows the history teacher who agrees to go on a road trip with her mother when she hears the news.

The 4×30’ BBC Comedy series is executive produced by Judy Counihan (Fresh Meat) for Solution 3 Productions, while Katie Mavroleon (David Brent: Life On The Road) is the producer.

It was commissioned by Shane Allen, controller of comedy commissioning, and Cassian Harrison, editor at BBC4.
