UK pubcaster the BBC had ordered a new six-part reality show to find the best amateur hairdresser in the country.
Hair (6×60′) will air on BBC3 and feature experts Alain Pichon and Denise McAdam who will rate the styles and cuts from each of the eight contestants. It is being produced in-house by the BBC with Clare Sillery exec producing.
The show will be hosted by Steve Jones who will see a different range of skills being tested each week to determine which competitor leaves the show.
Elsewhere, BBC3 has outlined a new live show to follow BBC1’s premiere of the 50th anniversary instalment of sci-fi series Doctor Who.
Doctor Who Live: The Afterparty will be exec produced by BBC Entertainment and Events and feature exclusive interviews with current and former stars of the show. It will air immediately after one-off special The Day of the Doctor, which is slated for broadcast on November 23.
