Taxi To Training is from UK prodco Goalhanger Films and fronted by comedian Lloyd Griffith, with Gabriella Saper producing.

The series claims it will offer audiences “unparalleled access” to some of the Premier League’s biggest stars via a behind-the-scenes taxi ride to their training ground.

Damian Kavanagh, BBC3’s controller, said the show would balance “candid insight with comedy via some of the Premier League’s famous faces.”

Tony Pastor, exec producer at Goalhanger, added: “If you think professional footballers have a great life working a few hours a day, earning a fortune and having a bit of fun, this series will do nothing to change your mind.”

Goalhanger Films is the production company set up by former England footballer and current Match of the Day and BT Sport host Gary Lineker.
