BBC2 preps Palin special

BBC2 in the UK has ordered an hour-long special that will celebrate the life and career of comedian and broadcaster Michael Palin.

Michael Palin: A Life on Screen is being coproduced by UK prodcos Bafta Productions and Whizz Kid Entertainment and will air in the new year.

The show reflects on Palin’s career as a Bafta-winning actor, writer and presenter and include interviews with some of his closest colleagues and friends.

His credits include writing and performing with Monty Python’s Flying Circus and presenting travel series Around the World in 80 Days and Pole to Pole.

The show follows a similar special from Bafta Productions about fellow UK comedian Lenny Henry, which also aired on the BBC.
