BBC, Starz rediscover The Missing

BBC1 in the UK and US cablenet Starz have extended the run of abduction thriller The Missing following its first season finale.

The 8×60′ show, which explores the actions of a father whose child is abducted, will again be written by bothers Harry and Jack Williams and directed by Tom Shankland (Ripper Street).

New Pictures and All3Media’s Company Pictures, in association with the Williams’ UK prodco Two Brothers Pictures and Collin Callender’s Playground, will produce the show, which will explore a new case.

The first season, distributed by All3Media International, ran simultaneously on BBC1 in the UK and Starz in the US and ended yesterday. The two networks previously worked on The White Queen together last year.
