BBC returns to Friday Night

Sounds Like Friday Night comes from Fulwell 73

UK pubcaster the BBC has ordered a second season of its primetime music format Sounds Like Friday Night.

The 5×30′ show has been recommissioned by BBC1 and BBC Music and is produced by Fulwell 73, the company behind CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The series, which features famous musicians, unknown artists and comedic sketches, will air next spring and will be broadcast from the revamped TV Centre in West London.

Gabe Turner, partner at Fulwell 73, said: “As passionate music fans, the chance to put music back on primetime terrestrial television has been an honour.

“We’ve been blown away by the support of the industry and will continue to work as hard as we can to deliver a show that showcases some of the great music in the UK and the rest of the world.”
