The BBC has ordered 148 more episodes of popular gameshow Pointless from Endemol-owned Remarkable Television, taking the series total to almost 1,000 shows.

The pubcaster will air 110 episodes during the daytime on BBC1 while a further 38 episodes of Pointless Celebrities, a primetime version of the format, have also been slated.

The quizshow challenges contestants to score as few points as they can by giving answers that no one else has thought of.

Endemol has previously sold format rights ^[1] to broadcasters in Poland, France, Germany and Switzerland, among others.
