BBC Lifestyle tastes Donal’s Asian Baking

Photographer, presenter and food writer Donal Skehan

BBC Lifestyle in Asia has picked up UKTV series Donal’s Asian Baking Adventure from Singapore-based distributor Bomanbridge Media.

The pan-Asian network will air the 10×30’ series after agreeing a deal with Bomanbridge, which itself acquired the rights to the show from London-based Argonon International.

Denham Productions produced the show for UKTV’s Good Food channel in the UK in partnership with South Korea’s Cen Media and the Korean Communications Agency.

It follows Irish food writer, photographer and television presenter Donal Skehan as he discovers the flavours and secrets of Asian baking, with stops in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia.

Bomanbridge has licensed a further series from Argonon in the form of Shaun Micallef’s Stairway to Heaven: Gods, Gurus, and the Ganges (1×60’) which is produced by Artemis International for Australian pubcaster SBS.

A deal for the show has already been sealed with BBC India, which also took fellow Bomanbridge title Tuning 2 You: India’s Lost Musicians (1×60’).
