BBC Earth heads for Canada

Planet Earth II will air in HD on BBC Earth in Canada from January

BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) North America and Blue Ant Media have teamed up to launch the BBC’s premium factual channel BBC Earth in Canada.

The commercial-free channel, scheduled to debut on January 24 next year, will offer programming including Planet Earth II and The Hunt. It will replace Blue Ant Media’s existing radX channel.

Planet Earth II will be broadcast in HD on BBC Earth in Canada from January 28, day-and-date with the US premiere on BBC America.

Blue Ant Media will release further programming information and scheduling details for the channel in early January.

Blue Ant Media’s brands include wildlife and nature channel Love Nature and Omnia Media, a leading digital video network focused on gaming and maker lifestyles.
