BBC, Aardman animate poem

BBC1 in Wales has commissioned UK studio Aardman to animate a short film version of Dylan Thomas’s poem The Hunchback in the Park.

The three minute film, voiced by Michael Sheen, will debut on the BBC iPlayer today and also be broadcast on BBC1 Wales later in October to mark the centenary of the Welsh poet’s birth.

It is being produced to commemorate National Poetry Day, taking place in the UK today, and tells the story of an isolated man who spends all his time at a park in Swansea.
