Banff to honour NBCUniversal

Canada’s Banff World Media Festival will honour NBCUniversal (NBCU) with its Company of Distinction title at this year’s event in June.

The honour, to be presented at the Rockie Awards Gala on Tuesday June 12, means NBCU will be a focal point of the festival’s four-day programme.

Banff’s Company of Distinction programme was introduced in 2013 and recognises a company that has demonstrated significant leadership in the world of screen-based entertainment.

Past recipients include CBS Corp, Lionsgate Entertainment, A+E Networks, HBO and last year’s honouree, Disney-ABC Television Group.

The Banff World Media Festival takes place from June 10 to 13 at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Canada.
