Bacon to star in Tremors TV reboot

Hollywood actor Kevin Bacon is attached to star in and exec produce a TV reboot of his 1990s feature film Tremors.

Universal Cable Productions and Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions are developing a new series based on the cult movie about giant killer worms.

A network is not yet attached, but UCP has said several potential partners have expressed an interest in the project.

The original movie was produced by UCP movie sibling Universal Pictures. The film spawned direct-to-video sequels and a TV programme titled Tremors: The Series, which aired for one season on Sci Fi.
