Awesomeness links with Roadshow

AwesomenessTV’s Freakish

Multiplatform media company AwesomenessTV has agreed an exclusive sales deal with Roadshow Television, part of the Roadshow Films Group.

The partnership sees Roadshow manage local distribution for three of AwesomenessTV’s youth-oriented original series in Australia and New Zealand.

The shows included in the deal are high-school drama Guidance, social media-focused series T@gged and Freakish, a high-school zombie drama produced for Hulu.

“There are not many entertainment companies that create stand-out content that is relevant for our younger audiences, and AwesomenessTV has nailed it,” said Roadshow Films co-CEO Chris Chard.

AwesomenessTV has also just signed deals with 2btube to expand its presence in Spain and Nordisk Film to do the same in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

The US company last month appointed Jordan Levin as its CEO, replacing Brian Robbins, who is leading a new production division at Viacom-owned Paramount.
