Endemol Shine North America-owned prodco Authentic Entertainment is partnering with a company set up by two former Will Packer Productions execs to create content for and about women.

Authentic will work with Kronicle Media, which was launched by Korin D Huggins alongside Monique Nash in 2017, on character-driven documentary and unscripted projects for and about women from diverse perspectives.

Huggins served as the head of television for Will Packer Productions, developing and selling more than 20 comedy and drama projects through the firm’s first-look deal with Universal Television Studios.

Nash, meanwhile, previously served as director of current programming and development in the TV department at Will Packer, working on BET drama Being Mary Jane, ABC comedy Uncle Buck and History’s remake of Roots.

Authentic is behind unscripted shows such as Flipping Out, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and the recently rebooted Trading Spaces for TLC.

“We share a common passion to bring creative voices to light and this is such an exciting time for women to work with other women, since we are the most engaged audience,” said Lauren Lexton, CEO and co-founder of Authentic Entertainment.
