Aussie, Euro nets start American Adventure

James Martin’s American Adventure was ordered by ITV

Broadcasters in Australia and Europe have acquired ITV’s culinary road trip series James Martin’s American Adventure.

The 20×60’ or 10×30’ series, produced by UK-based Blue Marlin Television, was originally ordered by ITV in the UK and premiered this month. DCD Rights sells globally.

BBC Lifestyle has picked up the show for Asia, while Foxtel has taken rights in Australia, Choice TV in New Zealand and ITI Neovision in Poland. AMC Networks International has acquired the series for Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Moldova.

The show is the second instalment of the franchise, following James Martin’s French Adventure (20×60’/10×30’). It was also produced by Blue Marlin and was recently sold to Digiturk in Turkey and North Cyprus.

Meanwhile, Saturday Morning With James Martin (26×60’), the weekend show in which Martin hosts and cooks for guests in his own home, has been sold to Foxtel.
