August Media acquires literary IP

Adam Jimenez and Felicia Low-Jimenez’s Sherlock Sam

Singapore-based August Media Holdings (AMH) has acquired the rights to a children’s book written by a local married couple under the pseudonym AJ Low.

The Ella Bella Bingo producer will develop the Sherlock Sam books, written by Adam Jimenez and Felicia Low-Jimenez, for television and film following the licensing agreement.

The books follow Singapore’s greatest kid detective and his trusty robot and were recently published in the US by Andrew McMeels Publishing.

“The book series uniquely captures the quirks and the spirit of multiracial Singapore and South-East Asia. It’s exciting to start work on this home-grown property and make it travel even more that it already has,” said Jyotirmoy Saha, founder and CEO of AMH.
