Audio Network raids StudioCanal for CEO

TV music supplier and producer Audio Network has appointed StudioCanal UK’s chief operating officer as its new group CEO.

Robb Smith replaces Chris Blakeston, who stepped down from the role in April but continues to work with the company in an advisory role out of the firm’s London and New York offices.

Smith, who was the UK COO and executive VP of global digital strategy at StudioCanal, will take up his new position with immediate effect. He will oversee the firm’s international growth plan and its new digital strategy.

Last month, Audio Network appointed former Red Arrow distribution executive Tim Gerhartz as its head of sales and business development for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
