Atresmedia dishes out nets in Mexico

The global arm of Spain’s Atresmedia has expanded its reach in Latin America after agreeing a carriage deal in Mexico.

The arrangement between Atresmedia Internacional and Dish México will see the Spanish firm’s drama channel Atreseries and entertainment and celebrity network ¡HOLA! TV become available to subscribers.

Mar Martínez Raposo, international director at Atresmedia, said: “The partnership with Dish México makes us stronger in the principal pay TV market. The shows offered by Atreseries and ¡HOLA! TV also respond to the growing demand for high-quality content in Spanish.”

wild_thingsEarlier this month Atresmedia brought its three international channels together under one umbrella group and appointed Javier Nuche to run it.

The reorganisation consolidates the pay TV channels, with a unified marketing and sales strategy around the world.
