Atresmedia adds Turkish dramas

Ay Yapim’s Black Money Love

Spanish commercial broadcaster Atresmedia has picked up a pair of Turkish drama series from distributors Inter Medya and Eccho Rights.

Black Money Love is produced by Turkey’s Ay Yapim and stars Tuba Buyukustun and Engin Akyurek. The series tells the story of a police officer and a jewellery designer who team up to solve the deaths of his fiancée and her father respectively.

Ay Yapim is also behind series such as Endless Love and The Pit.

The deal for Black Money Love was brokered by Inter Medya, whose founder and CEO Can Okan revealed the news.

Meanwhile Atresmedia has also picked up Ezel for its Nova channel. The series is also produced by Ay Yapim and joins the prodco’s other title Fatmagül, which is currently airing on the station.

Ezel tells the story of a young man on a mission for revenge after being betrayed by his friends and fiancé. Since the launch of the first season in 2009, distributor Eccho Rights has licensed it to more than 150 buyers around the world.

Last year, Atresmedia launched its own drama studio to produce content for all platforms.
