Broadcasters in Asia have acquired Odd Squad, the Canadian edutainment series that helps children to develop their maths skills.

Public Television Service Foundation in Taiwan, Thai Public Broadcasting, Television Broadcasting Limited in Hong Kong and Mediacorp in Singapore will all air the live action show.

The series follows two kids who work for a government agency and who are equipped with the world’s most advanced gadgetry.

It began airing on TVO in Canada and PBS Kids in the US in 2014 and comes from Tim McKeon (Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends) and Adam Peltzman (The Electric Company). A second season is due to begin airing on PBS Kids later this month.

The series is produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment and The Fred Rogers Company, while Singapore-based production/distribution agency Bomanbridge Media secured the deals in Asia.
